911 alerts to include cell phone, VoIP users

WOODBRIDGE — The Woodbridge Township Office of Emergency Management and the Office of Information Technology have expanded their Reverse 911 emergency alert telephone communication system to include cell phone users and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone numbers.

New ordinance raises fine to $2K per violation per day

In Woodbridge Township's continuous effort to combat illegal housing, a municipal court judge laid down the harshest fine yet, $10,000, against an Iselin man for operating an illegal basement in his home.
