Woodbridge will bond $7.7M to install solar panels on seven township buildings

WOODBRIDGE —The township is moving forward with plans to install solar panels on seven municipal buildings.

Woodbridge gets house in order by addressing COAH obligation

Woodbridge maps out affordable-housing plans

Over the next decade, new housing for artists, senior citizens and low-income families is planned in the township to meet state affordable-housing requirements.

By 2018, township planners envision that Woodbridge will add 7,000 new jobs and 1,200 new housing units. The township calculates that it must reserve about 900 units as "affordable" to meet the requirements of the state Council on Affordable Housing.

Eight new officers join police force

The Woodbridge Township Police Department welcomed eight new police officers to the 211-member force last week.
